Meet Our Coaching Team

Kent got his start in cycling by riding on the weekends with his dad when there wasn’t a baseball, soccer, or basketball game to attend. At 10 years old he completed his first century at the MS150 charity ride (it took all day!) and then continued to do that event each year thereafter. After high school, Kent discovered competitive cycling and never looked back. It was the hardest sport he had ever competed in, and the combination of tactics and intensity in road racing had him hooked. After a few years, Kent started to compete in the off-road disciplines as well, quickly discovering that playing in the dirt was fun and the perfect excuse to purchase more bikes! He enjoys the combination of power and skill it requires to navigate an off-road course and aims to keep improving his off-road skills over the years.
Overall, Kent is a guy that loves everything about cycling. Intervals, criteriums, coffee shop cruises, trail epics, and of course geeking out on all the data and high tech equipment. Give him a call to chat bikes and see if he’s the right coach to help you Move Up to the next level!

While in the military Jason began adventure racing, a sport that requires a mix of endurance, navigational prowess, and serious determination. Eventually, Jason caught the bug for gravel racing in 2016 and it’s been all bikes ever since. As a long-time client of Coach Kent, Jason has moved through the ranks to become one of the region’s most competitive gravel racers and is currently moving through the road and cyclocross categories as well.
Jason brings a wealth of training and racing experience as well as life experience to his coaching philosophy. As a husband and father of three, he knows the ins and outs of managing personal goals with family and career.

Garrick enjoys picking apart the intricacies of racing and training through writing. Here is a blog he wrote on his stage win at the Joe Martin Stage Race, and here is one written on the very reason we ride bikes. As your coach, Garrick will be committed to making your cycling goals his coaching goals. Feel free to contact him with any questions!
